In the words of Matthew McConaughy, allright, allright, allright! Well, God impressed on me that I needed to write this to protect people in the upcoming Halloween.

This isn’t about whether celebrating it is okay or not, but the deeper reality behind it. Specifically, exorcism. Ghosts aren’t ghosts, they’re demonic entities. I know because I lived in a haunted house for years….it was horrible.

I believe part of the reason we went through such hell was because we were not true christians. My parents went to church every Sunday and they thought that was enough. We had all stood in front of a church and mouthed the “saving prayer” so we wouldn’t go to hell, but that was about it. We had no idea about loving God back!

We knew nothing about speaking the word, the authority of the believer, or the relationship between God and humanity that Jesus died to restore to us. In short, church was a social club. What a waste.

If you are thinking of doing exorcisms on Halloween, read this from the Book of Acts, chapter 19 verses through 20: and be warned.

13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” 14 Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. 15 But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” 16 And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all[a] of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled. 18 Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing and divulging their practices. 19 And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.”

Look at the what the sons spoke to the demon….”In the name of Jesus who Paul proclaims“. They clearly communicated that they did not know Jesus personally. They therefore stated they were not under the protection of His blood, that they personally had no relationship with Him. LOOK OUT. The consequences were immediate. They were instantly taken over….how they lost their clothes I can’t even fathom, but there it is.

As a former new age-er I can really identify with Verse 18 as well. My own apartment had been demon infested. I eventually came to Jesus through watching the 700 Club…thank you God and Pat Robertson! And began a real relationship with my Lord. How wonderful! Talking to Him every day is the best. I live alone, but I never feel alone. It was then, and only then, that the filthy spirits left. No more things flying off shelves, no more vivid nightmares. I threw away all my new age books,,,quite an investment and never regretted it.

Looking back, the more I involved myself with New Age and witchcraft, the worse the infestation got, and I realized that the closer I became with God, the more the demons flee from me, because I really am known by God through Jesus! Hallelujah. I live the way He wants me to and I have so much peace.

Jesus said, in Luke Chapter 10 verse 19: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

So yes, exorcism and deliverance is certainly real. Jesus also said in Matthew chapter 10 verse 8: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Freely ye have received; freely give. And what happened after the witches and pagans got rid of their books and spells? So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.” Yeah baby!

This kind of work is not only to relieve suffering but most importantly to glorify God, and lead others to Christ.

Here is an example of demonic deliverance by a Messianic Rabbi (a rabbi who believes in Jesus) who is a wonderful teacher, Rabbi Kurt Schneider: (for more info see https://discoveringthejewishjesus.com)

This is pretty scary stuff folks and very alarming when you run into it.

If you have not yet declared Jesus as your Lord and saviour, please say this out loud:

Dear Lord Jesus, I’m asking you into my heart and my life.  I know I am a sinner. I ask your forgiveness for every sin I’ve ever committed.  I believe you died on the cross for my sins, that you stood in my place and took all the punishment that was due to me when you were there. I believe that you rose from the dead and are alive. I thank you for forgiving me and cleansing me of sin with your blood. Thank you for making me right with our heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen and thank You!

God Bless!
